Whether lunch or dinner – three, five or seven-course – menus are seasonal while ingredients are often foraged, largely local and always changing. Dinner at 1863 will no doubt generate conversation around the table on the night, but (we hope!) will also give you something to talk about long after you’ve left for the evening. Sustainability is at the heart of our ethos. Meat, fish, fruit and vegetables sourced from northern farmers and producers are prepared with respect, so flavour shines through.

Opening hours:

1863 Restaurant is open Thursday – Monday

1pm – 3pm (Fri – Sun): Lunch
6pm – 8.00pm (Thur – Mon): Dinner
11pm: Carriages


Dietary Requirements:

Whilst we can cater for some dietary requirements including vegetarian / pescatarian, we are unable to cater for a vegan diet. Dairy products are used throughout our menus making these unsuitable for guests with a lactose allergy or those who require a dairy-free diet

We require 48 hours notice to allow us to cater for dietary requirements. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you have any requirements.


Cancellation Policy:

  • Please note that credit / debit card details are required to make a reservation. These are securely stored with PCI-compliant third-party called Stripe.
  • We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if you do not turn up for your reservation.
  • In the event of a “no show”, our fee is £25 per person for Lunch or £50 per person for Dinner

Good to know:

  • Please note the maximum group size we are able to accommodate is 6.
